“Gere Played Piano” is the debut solo effort by pianist Gere Fennelly, known as “88Magic”. This CD was recorded live- no retakes or overdubs- on a grand piano in a small home studio in Eagle Rock, California. Gere plays extraordinary versions of everything from David Bowie, XTC, Thelonius Monk, to Beethoven & beyond, including a few of her own moody, haunting compositions. Produced by Gere Fennelly, this album was recorded & mastered by Scott Frazier, of the avant-garde modern violin group The Kronos Quartet.
